FAQs
1. What is a pillow sham?
A pillow sham is a decorative pillow cover that goes over your sleeping pillow. It usually has an opening in the back (envelope or zipper closure) and adds texture to your bed.
2. What does "waffle weave" feel like?
3. Are these shams machine washable?
4. How do I close the sham – is there a zipper?
5. Do these shams fit standard-size pillows?
Just received these queen-size pillow shams today and I'm impressed. While I can't speak to long-term durability yet, they fit my queen pillows perfectly, snug without being too tight. The envelope closure at the end is a nice touch, keeping everything neatly tucked in without any awkward gaps or bunching. I won't be using these pillows for sleeping, they are just decorative.
The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I think they're priced a little high, but I like them and would buy again. They pull the whole setup together and add a clean, cohesive feel to the bedroom. If they hold up well over time, I'll definitely be ordering more. Highly recommend!
Bought these for our guest bedroom - full size bed. These are pretty good quality. When I opened them I compared them to my Euro shams from West Elm, and the West Elm fabric was definitely more substantial, but these are good for a guest room where it won't get a ton of everyday use. However still very pretty. I like the design.
First, I love the look of this thing. Simple, clean, natural, elegant. The weave pattern is appealing. My sister, a bedding perfectionist, had pooh poohed waffle weave but changed her mind when she saw it.
What I was completely unprepared for was how different it is to sleep on natural fibers. I know, I know. But I had very high quality cotton sheets. It never occurred to me that an artificial bedspread OVER the sheets would be perceptible. And WOW is the difference perceptible. You can truly feel it at an energetic level. And that's because the frequency of organic cotton is the same as your body; regular cotton is very close.
These are very pretty and nice quality. I took off one star because they require ironing. Who irons anymore??? Lol
